A Family Dream Realised
In 2001, Steve and Alison took the reins of Lawton’s Pies, turning their long-held dream of owning a bakery into reality. Steve swapped his electrician’s tools for a baker’s apron, and Alison traded her desk in an insurance office for the warmth of the bakehouse.
Their shared passion and dedication breathed new life into one of the area’s few remaining traditional family bakeries, ensuring that the rich legacy of Lawton’s continues to thrive today.
Tradition Meets Today
Though times have changed, our values haven’t. We still bake every pie fresh each morning using time-honoured methods, locally sourced ingredients, and a secret family recipe that’s remained unchanged since 1928.
Our pastry is still rolled by hand, our beef comes from trusted local farms, and our pies are made with care — just as they always have been.
